Hello
Empower. Grow. Thrive.
Welcome to She Devil Jiu Jitsu and our new home, The Den. We’re dedicated to empowering women through the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and building a community where strength, resilience, and connection thrive.
Our mission remains the same: to create a safe and supportive space for women to explore Jiu Jitsu, build confidence, and achieve personal growth. Now, with The Den, we’ve expanded our vision into a dedicated facility designed for women to train, learn, and belong.
Whether you’re stepping onto the mats for the first time or looking to deepen your practice, we invite you to join us at The Den and experience the transformative power of Jiu Jitsu.

My Jiu Jitsu journey began after years of hesitation and reflection.
As someone who watched family members excel in Jiu Jitsu, I initially resisted joining due to chronic illness and other personal reasons. However, the mental and physical benefits of Jiu Jitsu eventually became undeniable. Overcoming chronic pain and adapting training methods, I discovered a passion for the art and the community it builds.
Meeting women who couldn't train in coed environments due to past traumas highlighted the need for a women-focused Jiu Jitsu club, leading to the creation of She Devil Jiu Jitsu. She Devil Jiu Jitsu was born in 2021 with the mission of providing women with a safe space to train and grow through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Today, we are proud to offer a welcoming community where women can build confidence, improve their self-defense skills, and experience personal growth.
I have eight years of training under Professors Mike Geery and Leonard Butch White. I am passionate about Gi training and play a slow, pressure-based game with a focus on submissions, including lapel attacks and foundational Jiu Jitsu techniques. Despite starting with no sports background, PTSD, and managing chronic illnesses, dedication and love for Jiu Jitsu have driven me to share this art with others.
In 2025, we opened The Den—our own dedicated training space—to continue growing our mission and provide an even stronger community for women in Jiu Jitsu. Our "Ladies First" Dojo!

About Coach "Bella" Michele Milo
About Professor Chris Milo
I’m a 48-year-old Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner who began this incredible journey at the age of 36.
With a background in high school wrestling and a lifetime of on-and-off weight training, I was far removed from my grappling days when I stepped onto the mats. However, the drive and passion for combat sports never left me. What started as an activity for my son quickly grew into a family affair, with my daughter, myself, and eventually my wife all joining in.
Training BJJ has been a transformative experience, not just for me, but for our family as a whole. In December 2024, after nearly 11 years of dedication, I earned my black belt—a milestone that reflects the many humbling lessons I’ve learned on and off the mats.
I competed during my blue and purple belt years but have since transitioned into a hobbyist role, cherishing the art in its entirety.
BJJ has taught me the value of resilience, humility, and staying active—because a body in motion stays in motion. I’m truly blessed to be part of this culture and to continue learning every day.
